Tell ya what Mr/Ms Spammer…. you have a crush on me, THANKS! But reveal yourself….. I don’t follow instructions well.
So, I’ve been “out of pocket” for a while…. I’ve no idea where or when I truly left off. I have posted or made reposts recently but not a real blog and don’t really know if I should even post a blog hear, although per the anon message I just recieved, I have a great blog. lol Whatever! I’m pretty darn sure it was spam and will treat it as such. Here is a little of why I’ve been away:
I went through a divorce. The last 2, almost 3 years of marriage was a nightmare and very very difficult on me; both emotionally and financially. After the divorce was final, I tried to make a go of it on my own. Didn’t work. I was still miserable and felt very unsafe and unstable. SO! After a bout of depression and overeating, I decided to move home. And by home I mean the house I grew up in, where my mother still lives. It’s been wonderful to be back home and with my mom and in the same proximity as 2 of my sisters, but at the same time extremely difficult. I HATE not being on my own with my own space and in my own little world. Though, I have to say, it’s worked much better than I expected. AND!!! I now have a job.
It’s working for family but not any who I was/am that close to. My Aunt had a stroke and was left with aphasia because of it. For those wondering and/or unsure; “Aphasia is a disorder that results from damage to portions of the brain that are responsible for language. For most people, these are areas on the left side (hemisphere) of the brain. Aphasia usually occurs suddenly, often as the result of a stroke or head injury, but it may also develop slowly, as in the case of a brain tumor, an infection, or dementia. The disorder impairs the expression and understanding of language as well as reading and writing. Aphasia may co-occur with speech disorders such as dysarthria or aprazia of speech, which also result from brain damage.” —- taken from medicinenet.com
The aphasia makes it very challenging but so far so good. She is in her 80’s and very recently lost her husband due to complications from a surgery. She is still very mobile and does most things on her own. I am with her basically to make sure she stays safe and doesn’t over do or need help with things. She is very quiet and non demanding, which is a breath of fresh air compared to past clients!! So, hopefully things will continue to go well and this will be a permanent thing for now.
Aside from that I’m working at getting myself healthy and losing weight. I’ve been doing EXCELLENT, if I do say so myself, at sticking with the new way of eating and I’m not even afraid of the holidays coming up! I think I have finally got the right mindset to get through it!
And I’m ready, or think I am, to begin dating again. I’d really like someone to spend time with and share things with. My girlfriends are fantastic, but…. I don’t really think about kissing them. lol ;) (not all anyway. lol) But one thing at a time and I’m not going to rush it. When it’s meant to be; IF it’s meant to be, then it will be.
If you actually read this, thanks for your time!! :)
